Facebook’s recent move to open up it’s platform to allow integration with other applicatons holds one of the biggest opportunities for the recruitment industry.
WordPress, one of the more popular blogging platforms, recently released an application that allows WordPress bloggers to feed their blog content right into Facebook. This opens up a lot of doors for recruitment marketing and the use of blogging platforms. A recruiter using a Facebook profile to network with potential candidates would be crazy not to develop a blog with some career related content, or at the very least a blog that was basically used to publish high-priority career opportunities. Note to ATS vendors: you could make this real easy on recruiters, also.
WordPress is just one of the many applications that have been integrated with Facebook. I’m personally glad to see this happening. The more a social network can become someone’s hub, the more useful it will be and the longer it will be around.
Anyone else using any of the Facebook integrations for recruitment?
