Quantcast - Advanced Search in Beta

It’s likely you don’t love media data the way that I do and you probably aren’t going to scream with excitement the way I did when I found this out. But, hopefully you can appreciate the usefulness of Quantcast’s new Advanced Search. It is currently in beta and you’ll need to register to use it.

However, they’ve added the ability to search through their database to find sites that match specific audience characteristics. Interested in find out which site has the highest concentration of females, age 25-35, who make less than $30K, and attended college? Sadly, it’s nkotb.com (That would be the site for New Kids on the Block), but nonetheless, it’s interesting data.

You can search the site on the following criteria:

  • Gender
  • Income
  • Education
  • Age
  • Ethnicity
  • Children in the Household
  • Affinity - this one is cool because you can search for sites that have similar audiences to another site or your own site.
  • Category

I think it is definitely worth playing around with. Their data is much more accurate for publishers in their Quantified program. Wish I could force publishers to participate. it’s not the end all be all, but it is a great tool to find sites that have the target audience you are interested in.

Would love to hear other’s thoughts on the new tool.
